Kidders mark golden anniversary

Area residents Bill and Judy Kidder celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on June15. A small family gathering was held at the Kidder residence with a picnic-style meal. An anniversary cake with the original bride and bridegroom cake topper was also served. The Kidders shared with the family several items from their wedding day that included pictures, newspaper articles, announcements, invitations and reception napkins. The couple also received a number of gifts from family members.

The former Judith Erickson, daughter of Donald and Helen Dieter, and Mr. Kidder, son of William and Marcella Kidder Sr., were married on June 15, 1963, at Ohltown Methodist Church in Austintown.

Mr. Kidder is retired from the Columbiana County Engineer Department and enjoys retirement life.

Mrs. Kidder is currently employed as a grief counselor at Dawson Funeral Home and very active in the United Methodist Women and United Methodist Church.

The couple has a daughter, Laura (Steven) Swain of Rolling Prairie, Ind.; two sons, Dean (Ruth) and Michael (Nancy) of East Liverpool; nine grandchildren, Jared, Chad, Andrew (deceased) and Amber (Laura and Steve), Dylan and Allie (Dean and Ruth) and Bill, Loni, and Michael (Mike and Nancy). They also have two great-grandchildren, Navessa Sando (Amber) and Abigail Spears (Loni).
