Gotschalls mark golden anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. William “Bill” Gotschall of Land O’Lakes, Fla., and Lake Tomahawk, formerly of East Liverpool, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 27 with a family dinner. The couple plans to renew their wedding vows later this month during an anniversary trip touring the southwest.

The former Margaret “Peggy” Hess of Salem were wed on July 27, 1963.

Mr. Gotschall retired from the Ohio Department of Economic Development.

Mrs. Gotschall retired from the East Liverpool School District where she served as an English teacher.

They have four children and eight grandchildren: Troy (Lori) Gotschall of Land O’ Lakes, and their sons, Nate of Lake Tomahawk and Nick of Land O’ Lakes; Dawn (Mike) Moore of Leetonia, and their sons, Zack and Danny of Leetonia and Sam, a U.S. Marine stationed in Pensacola, Fla.; Robin (Craig) Boyle and their children, Dominic and Alexa, all of North Canton; and Michele (Ian) Strange of Lakeland, Fla., and their son, Damien of Nova Scotia, Canada.
