Richard and Shirley Adams mark golden wedding anniversary

Richard and Shirley Adams of 1230 Slater Road, Salem, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 22 at Realife.

The event was catered by their children, Kimberly and Scott Shoaff, Rick Adams (Kimberly Fisher), Matthew Adams and their granddaughter, Taylor Shoaff.

They were married on June 20, 1964, at the First Assembly of God in Salem by the Rev. Paul Taylor.

Mr. Adams was employed as a skilled machinist at E.W. Bliss in Salem for 32 years. He is currently employed at Glunt Machine in Warren.

Mrs. Adams retired from Salem City Schools after 26 years of service in the cafeteria. She enjoys volunteering at the Salem Community Pantry and going to Tuesday Morning Bible Study.

The couple enjoys traveling on their Honda Goldwing and are planning a cruise to Hawaii later this fall.
