DiLudovicos mark 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Leonard P. DiLudovico Sr. of Leetonia celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 3.

The former Margret Stepanian and Mr. DiLudovico were married on Oct. 3, 1964, at St. Peter’s Apostolic Church in Niagara Falls, N.Y.

The couple has four children, Mona L. Rance and LCDR Leonard P. DiLudovico Jr. USN (Ret), both of Leetonia, Maureen E. Torchia of Mt. Lebanon, Pa., and Christine L. Wisneski of Alexandria, Va.; and eight grandchildren, Hayden Rance, Lyndsey Rance, Joseph DiLudovico, Kara DiLudovico, Gianna Torchia, Marco Torchia, Morgan Wisneski and Jacob Wisneski.

Mrs. DiLudovico worked as a nurse at the then Salem Community Hospital and retired in 2000 after 36 years of service.

Mr. DiLudovico retired in 1976 from Mullins Manufacturing in Salem after working 31 years as a welder. He again retired from Salem City School District in 1985 as a custodian after nine years of service. He was drafted during World War II and served as a medic with the 44th medical hospital in the Southwest Pacific from 1943-1945 and saw direct action during the invasion of Leyte Island in the Phillipines in October 1944.

Mr. and Mrs. DiLudovico are members of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Leetonia. The family is planning a private dinner for the couple.
