Amy Louise Burt plans marriage to William Mitchell McBrayer
Lloyd and Paula Burt of Salem are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Amy Louise Burt, to William Mitchell McBrayer. He is the son of Bill and Lorri McBrayer of Parkersburg, W.Va.
The bride elect is a 2008 graduate of West Branch High School and a 2012 graduate of West Virginia University where she obtained bachelor’s degrees in mining engineering and agribusiness management and rural development. She graduated as a member of the Order of Augusta and an Outstanding Senior. She is a mine engineer at Eagle Butte Mine for Alpha Natural Resources in Gillette, Wyo.
Her fiance, son of Bill and Lorri McBrayer of Parkersburg, W.Va., is a 2008 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and a 2013 graduate of West Virginia University where he obtained degrees in mining and civil engineering. He was a founding member of West Virginia University’s mine rescue team and is employed by Cloud Peak Energy as a long range planning engineer at their corporate office in Gillette, Wyo.
The couple’s wedding will be held in late August at Pine Lake Christian Church in Sebring.
