Kayla Lynnette Miller marries Matthew James Ciotti
Kayla Lynnette Miller and Matthew James Ciotti were united in marriage on Oct. 20 at St. Xavier Catholic Church in Cincinnati. Father Joseph Casey officiated at the couple’s double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ted and Trina Miller of Churchtown. She is the granddaughter of Bob and Betty Pottmeyer of Churchtown, and Rita Miller of Beverly and the late Pete Miller.
The bridegroom’s parents are Janis Walker of Madison, and Jim and Renee Ciotti of Salem. He is the grandson of Wayne Walker of Barnesville and the late Marjorie Walker, and also Virginia Ciotti of Salem and the late Tullio Ciotti.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white, satin gown with a strapless, sweetheart bodice and a dropped waistline continuing into a swirling skirt. Her white birdcage hairpiece was enhanced with white feather and flower accents. She carried a bouquet of shades of purple lisianthus, roses and orchids. Attached to her bouquet was an heirloom locket with photos of her grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as her mother’s wedding band.
The matron of honor was Ashleigh Strahler of Churchtown.
Bridesmaids were Johanna McNabb of Lowell, Layne Pottmeyer of Marietta, Alana Henry of Waterford, Megan Witte of Cincinnati, Michelle Brasdovich of Cleveland and Jennifer Williams of Madison, the bridegroom’s sister. They wore satin, v-neck cocktail dresses in purple.
Kailey Williams, the bridegroom’s niece, was the flower girls.
The bridesmaids carried bouquets of purple lisianthus, carnations and roses that complimented the bride’s bouquet.
The bridegroom wore a charcoal tuxedo with a purple paisley tie.
Andrew Palmer of Medina, served as the best man.
Groomsmen were Rick Gorski of Cleveland, Andrew Dehaven of Akron, Jon Snelting of Cincinnati, Joe Ayers of Salem, and the bride’s brothers, Clay and Brice Miller of Churchtown.
The ring bearer was Parker Williams, the bridegroom’s nephew.
The groomsmen wore charcoal tuxedos with purple ties, complimenting the bridegroom’s attire.
A dinner and dance reception was held following the ceremony in the Grand Ballroom of the Phoenix in downtown Cincinnati.
The couple honeymooned on the islands of Kauai and Maui, Hawaii. They currently reside in Cincinnati.
