Sheri Wherry marries Tom Egli

Sheri Wherry became the bride of Tom Egli on June 22 in the couple’s backyard at 5260 South Bandy Road, Homeworth.

Pastor Richard Brendlinger officiated at the 4:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride was escorted by her son, Michael Wherry of Dayton. She wore a princess-cut champagne colored satin gown with embroidery and a gathered bodice. A tiara of pearls and rhinestones accented the gown. She carried a bouquet of her and the bridegroom’s favorite flowers, daisies and red roses, accented with babies breath.

The only attendants were the couple’s 15 grandchildren, with the boys wearing matching black vests, white shirts, and jeans and the girls wearing different prints of summer sundresses. The boys blew bubbles as their grandparents were joined, and the girls dropped rose petals. All grandchildren who are ages 10 years and under, cheered after their grandparents were joined in marriage.

The couple hosted a family dinner for their children and grandchildren after the ceremony.

The bride is employed as a licensed practical nurse at Salem Community Hospital.

Mr. Egli is employed as a truck driver for Vasco Company.

The couple honeymooned in Niagara Falls.
