Mindee Sekely weds Jesse Brown
Mindee Sekely and Jesse Brown were married on Oct. 12 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
The bride is the daughter of Bud and Gisela Hiltbrand of Salem.
The bridegroom’s parents are Don and Beth Brown of Salem.
The Rev. Alan Smearsoll officiated at the couple’s double-ring ceremony at 2:30 p.m.
Nuptial music was provided by Ila Jeanne Paxson on the organ.
The bride was escorted and given away by her father. She appeared in an ivory satin strapless A-line gown with beaded detail and a chapel train with a beaded lace jacket. Her fingertip-length, one-tier veil was enhanced with a metallic pencil edge and delicate lace embroidered flowers. She carried a bouquet of red calla lilies mixed with red roses with silver and diamond accents.
Nikki Nimon of Westland, Mich., the bride’s sister, was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jerri Brown of Salem, the bridegroom’s sister; Christina Orodi of Galena and Barb Colarossi of Seven Hills.
Sydney Nimon and Olivia Nimon of Westland, Mich., the bride’s nieces, were the flower girls.
The best man was Steve Close of Salem.
Ushers included Scott Nimon of Westland, Mich., the bride’s brother-in-law; Darrell Jackson of Salem and Jeremy Wells of Hanoverton.
Approximately 200 guests attended the reception at the Salem Golf Club.
The guest book attendant was Taylor Rothbrust, the bride’s cousin.
Special guests of the couple were Paul and Anneliese Rothbrust, the bride’s grandparents.
The bride holds a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing and is a cardiac registered nurse, also certified in oncology.
The bridegroom has a four-year apprenticeship with state certification in CNC machining. He is a CAM programmer.
The couple resides in Salem.
