Lillian Victoria Daley exchanges vows with Nicholas Robert Balsley

Lillian Victoria Daley and Nicholas Robert Balsley were married on Aug. 12 in Myrtle Beach, S. C. The Rev. Benjy Simmons officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Kelly and Virginia Daley and Kerry Colian of Salem. The bridegroom’s parents are Kristin Balsley-Watson and Joseph Watson of Salem.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a mermaid gown with a cathedral veil and carried a bouquet of lilies. She was attended by her maids of honor, sisters, Megan and GinGin Daley, both of Salem. The wedding colors were royal blue and yellow representing the couple’s birth stones.

Performing the duties of best men were the bridegroom’s brothers, Joe and Dave Watson of Salem. John McBride of Salem, the bride’s brother, served as groomsman.

Grandparents of the bride are Earl and Karen Daley of New Smyrna, Fla.; Shirley Braden of Salem; and Mary Callahan of Salem and the late Timothy Callahan.

The bridegroom’s grandparents are the late Robert and Nancy Balsley. In honor of the bridegroom’s grandmother, the couple chose her birthday as their wedding date.

The bride graduated from Salem High School in 2011 and attended Kent State University. She is employed as manager at the Alliance Buffalo Wild Wings.

The bridegroom, a 2010 graduate of Salem High School, attended Youngstown State University and is employed at CTM Integrated Technologies as a systems technician.

The couple celebrated with a beach barbecue and dancing following the ceremony and celebrated with friends and family at a hometown reception on Aug. 27. They will honeymoon in Las Vegas in September. The couple resides in Beloit.
