Veronica Justine Waite exchanges vows with Corey Jackson Smith

Gervasi Vineyard in Canton was the site of the wedding and reception of Veronica Justine Waite and Corey Jackson Smith on Oct. 15, 2016. The Rev. Timothy Paroz officiated. Music was provided by Beach Boyz Entertainment.

The bride is the daughter of Ron and Debbie Waite of Salem. The bridegroom is the son of Clark and Kim Smith of Port Charlotte, Fla.

Escorted by her father, the bride chose a mermaid-style gown in blush with ivory lace overlay, an illusion neckline, open back and medium-length train embellished with pearl and sequin accents with a blush flowered belt. She carried an overflowing garden arrangement with greenery and plum, blush and ivory flowers, including several succulents.

Maid of honor was Melissa Santorelli of Cleveland.

Flower girls were Taylor Loedding of East Liverpool, the bride’s cousin; and Braelynn Smith of Port Charlotte, the bridegroom’s niece.

Bridesmaids were Stephanie Szabat of West Palm Beach, Fla., Olivia Myers of Beloit, Malissa Vernon of Akron and Emily Doty of Tampa, Fla.

Serving as best man was Mat Rohan of Tampa.

Groomsmen were Collin Smith of Port Charlotte, the bridegroom’s brother; C.J. McGrain of Port Charlotte, the bridegroom’s brother-in-law; Dan Russel of Tampa; and Anthony Juda of Los Angeles, Calif.

Special guests were the bridegroom’s grandparents, Paul and Beth Stone of Port Charlotte.

The new Mrs. Smith is a 2006 graduate of Salem High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Akron. She is employed with Full Spectrum Marketing in Kent.

Her husband, a 2006 graduate of Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, Fla., and a 2011 graduate of the University of South Florida, Tampa, is employed with Lighthouse Insurance in Independence.

The newlyweds reside in Akron.
