Consumers National Bank expands to Summit County

MINERVA — Consumers National Bank announced Dec. 4 that it has received approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) for its application to operate a new full-service branch office at 3680 Embassy Parkway, Fairlawn. The approval marks the bank’s first full-service branch in Summit County and the 14th branch office in its network. Consumers National Bank anticipates that banking operations at the new Fairlawn office will begin in the summer of 2018.

“In 2015, Consumers expanded into the Akron area market with a Loan Production Office (LPO) in Stow. After three years of consistent growth, the bank is now upgrading the Greater Akron office to full branch status. Our plans are to relocate the Stow LPO to the newly constructed facility on Embassy Parkway in Fairlawn,” said Ralph J. Lober II, president and chief executive officer of Consumers National Bank.

In addition to housing the bank’s Akron Region commercial lenders Mike Benson, Joe McNamee, and Laura Horovitz, the new 2,000 square foot office will provide space for in-market mortgage originators and will house universal bankers who will have deposit and consumer lending capabilities. As Akron Metro Manager, Mike Benson will have responsibility for all the office’s commercial and deposit-related operations. A drive-up ATM is also planned for the facility.

“This new location is very close to the Medina and Cuyahoga County lines, which opens up new commercial and mortgage lending markets for Consumers National Bank. Furthermore, this office space will be adjacent to the new Fairlawn location of The Wealth Advisory Group of Dilauro, Wracher and Thomas, strengthening the relationship between the bank and our wealth management partners,” said Lober.
