Flynn Auto Group ranks first in sales for 11th straight year

For the 11th consecutive year, the Flynn Auto Group, owned by David A. Flynn, ranked first in automotive sales in northeast Ohio, according to the Greater Cleveland Auto Dealers Association, with 7,014 units sold in 2017.

The Flynn Auto Group consists of Columbiana Cadillac Buick Chevrolet, Donnell Ford in Boardman, Donnell Ford Lincoln of Salem, The Honda Store in Boardman, Performance Trucks in New Waterford and Power Chevrolet Buick GMC in Calcutta.

The Auto Group’s success revolves around Flynn’s motto that “Price Sells Cars and Service Keeps Customers”.

2017 was marked with key management additions and reassignments that has increased the experience and productivity of the group. New general managers Todd Dauterman and Joe Pantone joined Donnell Ford-Lincoln of Salem and Performance Trucks of New Waterford respectively. Dauterman brings nine years of management background and a familiar name to car buyers in the Salem, Columbiana area. Pantone has an extensive background in automotive ownership and management.

Fifteen year Honda Store sales executive Michelle Kreibel was promoted to sales manager at the store. Davey Jones, who was sales manager for Donnell Ford in Boardman for twenty years returned. Finally, longtime area broadcaster Jeff Kelly moved into marketing/advertising position for the group replacing Patty Morris, who retired after 27 years. Kelly joins Flynn family member Shannon Flynn who returns to the organization.

Columbiana Cadillac Buick Chevrolet was Group’s sales leader, led by general manager Don Brady. The store ranked #1 in Buick sales performance in the state of Ohio, according to General Motors Sales Performance Review, December 21, 2017.

The Honda Store showed the greatest sales increase in 2017 under manager Chuck Tieche.

The biggest news in 2018 for the Flynn Auto Group will be Power Chevrolet Buick GMC’s new facility in Calcutta, expected to open this spring. General manager Bob Bovara plans grand opening events once the new dealership opens. (Submitted material)
