Columbiana BOE meets in closed session
COLUMBIANA – The Columbiana school board met Friday in closed session to discuss a situation that could result in a lawsuit.
Superintendent Don Mook did not get into specifics following the 15-minute meeting, but, immediately after the board returned from executive session and adjourned the meeting without taking action, he asked an unidentified woman and adolescent female in the audience to join him in his office.
When the board decided to go into executive session they said it was for one of the several exceptions allowed under Ohio’s Sunshine Law. When pressed to be more specific, which is required, Mook said it was to discuss threatened, or “imminent,” litigation.
