Hearing set on zoning changes
SALEM – Salem City Council will hold a public hearing at 5:45 p.m. Sept. 17 in council chambers regarding three proposed zoning ordinances, two prohibiting scrap yards in M-1 and M-2 zones and one restricting the drilling of oil and gas wells to M-2 sites and at least 500 feet from any structure.
The ordinances are titled:
– Ordinance 130702-52 Being an Ordinance amending Section 1181.01 of Chapter 1181 of Part Eleven of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Salem.
– Ordinance 130702-53 Being an Ordinance amending Section 1183.01 of Chapter 1183 of Part Eleven of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Salem.
– Ordinance 130708-55 Being an ordinance amending Chapter 1198 of Part Eleven of the Codified Ordinance of the City of Salem.
Any and all interested parties in the ordinances will be heard at that time.
