No injuries in school bus crash

BELOIT- No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash involving a West Branch school bus Wednesday morning.

According to information released by the district, a bus carrying nine Knox Elementary students was struck by another vehicle at 8:30 a.m. on Georgetown Road about a half mile west of Homeworth. No one was injured and there appeared to be little if any damage to the bus.

The Lisbon post of the Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, but

had no information to release Wednesday.

According to the press release the usual safety protocols were followed by the driver, the transportation supervisor, law enforcement and school staff. The parents of the students were notified and the students were transported to Knox Elementary in another district vehicle.

Schools Superintendent Dr. Scott Weingart commended everyone for the professional and efficient manner with which the situation was handled and communicated.
