Perry Twp. man indicted for alleged child sex offense

GOSHEN TWP. – Police have charged a Perry Township man with gross sexual imposition following an alleged sex offense report in Green Township last month.

William T. Dailey, 55, 1179 E. Pine Lake Road, Salem, was charged with the third degree felony after Detective Matthew Beck presented the case to the Mahoning County Grand Jury. Beck responded to a Green Township home at 5:04 p.m. June 13 where Dailey had reportedly had sexual contact with a 6-year-old child.

Dailey was also charged with aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor, for threatening to harm someone in the incident.

According to online court dockets, Dailey pleaded innocent of the charges at his arraignment on Tuesday. A pretrial is scheduled for Aug. 18.
