Early morning crash leaves one man dead in Unity Township

Patrol Sgt. Brad Bucey and troopers Brad Dennison, Rob Schnellbach, Matt Poremba and Nick Smith all responded to the scene of a fatal accident on state Route 14 in Unity Township early Sunday. According to the highway patrol, Bradley J. Riley, 46, of Enon Valley, Pa. was driving a 2009 Kia Sorento near Macklin Road at 3:40 a.m. when he went off the right side of the road into a ditch and overturned. Riley, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected. The crash remains under investigation and it is not known if alcohol was a factor. Assisting at the scene were the East Palestine and New Waterford police departments, and the East Palestine and Columbiana fire departments and EMS. (Salem News photo by Patti Schaeffer)
