Art work for United “Eggstravaganza”

The United Community Scholarship Foundation will host its annual all-you-can-eat “Eggstravaganza” breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at United High School cafeteria. Omelets with your choice of ham, bacon, cheese, onion, mushrooms and green peppers are cooked by order. Also made right on the spot are fruit crepes and doughnuts. Cost is $8 for adults, $6 for children ages 4 to 12 and includes hot and cold beverages. A silent auction will feature gift baskets with items donated by individuals and local businesses. United Elementary students created table placemats for the breakfast. Several placemats were selected as “best in class” and will be on display for viewing at the breakfast. Among those “best in class” winners and pictured with their placemat artwork are, first row, from left, Ariana Gonzalez, Trent Newburn, Luke Mercer, Gavin Bowman; second row, Wyatt Swanson, Bella Thompson and Zaira Sica-Perez. All proceeds from this breakfast and auction will benefit the foundation which awards over $10,000 in scholarships to United Local graduates each year. (Submitted photo)
