‘Back the Badges’ appreciation day set at Lisbon VFW Saturday

LISBON — A “Back the Badges” appreciation day in support of law enforcement will be held at the Lisbon V.F.W. Post 4111 from 1 p.m. until midnight Saturday.

The V.F.W. post is located at 210 E. Lincolnway.

Terry Madison, founder of the Back the Badges organization, said any law enforcement officer who presents a badge will receive free food and the proceeds from the event will be used to help local law enforcement families in paying their medical expenses.

The event will feature a Chinese auction, 50-50 raffle, a photo booth, food, and bands will play all day.

Drinks will be available at a cash bar and there is an $8 cover charge.

There will be four bands entertaining throughout the day and night, Madison said, adding they will be “Breezeway,” “Bud Powell,” “Cowboy Up,” and “None Stop Band.”
