Damascus Ruritan car show

Leo Pappas of Louisville isn't really as alone as it seems while he sits with his '66 Impala.
Liz Rajewski of Salem can be seen waiting for her boyfriend, Shawn Magrini of Salem, who had a '55 Chevy in the show.
William Huffman of Winona looks over a canna that his wife Ginny submitted. The plant was one of 59 entries of various kinds of plants from a variety of age groups.
The Grow and Show featured several interesting entries including a 9-month-old orchid entered by Rachel Jones of Damascus and a group of fairy gardens, part of which is pictured, submitted by Erin Murphy, granddaughter of historical society member Gail Murphy

The Damascus Ruritan Club hosted its fifth annual car show Friday evening in the Damascus Friends Church parking lot. The event filled the entire front parking lot with vehicles model years 1992 and older. In conjunction with the car show, the Damascus Area Historical Society held an open house of all its buildings and sponsored its Grow and Show plant show, open to the public at the Pearce House.
