Mobile war museum stops in Lisbon

Some Lisbon residents and members of the Marlboro Volunteers (MV) sought shelter from Sunday’s 90-degree temperatures inside the organization’s mobile war museum on display at the Lisbon Cemetery as part of an event hosted by the local historical society to commemorate the 100th anniversary of World War I. MV is a non-profit military history and educational organization, and its museum featured weapons, clothing and artifacts from every American war. Seated, from left, are MV’s Mark Turner and Duane Zorger in his World War II uniform (their oldest member at age 90), Lisbon residents Ken Schreffler and Ken Everett, and Caroline Caskey and Don Shaffer, also from MV.
