Jessica Green, 24, of Salem was transported by KLG Ambulance to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown Friday afternoon following a one-car crash on state Route 558. According to state trooper Mike Helmick, Green was eastbound on Route 558 in her 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier when she lost control coming out of the S-curve and went off the right side of the road striking a utility pole. Leetonia, New Waterford and Columbiana firefighters and EMS personnel worked in sub-zero temperatures to extricate Green from her vehicle.
