Perry trustees to skip meeting

PERRY TWP. — Township trustees won’t meet again until 6:30 p.m. June 11 after opting to dispense with their second meeting in May since it would have fallen on the holiday.

The board normally meets the second and fourth Monday of the month.

In other business, the board agreed to participate in this year’s Ohio Department of Transportation salt program, agreeing to order up to 300 tons of salt. Fiscal officer Susan Johnston explained that they’re required to purchase at least 260 tons but can take up to 330 tons if necessary.

The trustees agreed to use a free service of the Columbiana County engineer and have the north station property surveyed. The trustees also contracted with Dick Wilson Painting to paint the inside of the administration building at a cost of $2,939.

Zoning Inspector Allan Wolfgang reported 11 permits issued in April and nine issued in May.
