A Vacation Bible School event was held at Reilly Stadium Tuesday night.VBS students were donating money for the Salem Police Department K-9 program in memory of Salem Police Lt. Charles Shafer, who died earlier this year, and were trying to raise $1,000 to “Pie in the Face” their favorite church representative. VBS is being held June 10-14 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church but is a combined effort of four Salem churches, including Holy Trinity, First United Methodist, St. Paul and Emmanuel Lutheran. It is not too late to register by showing up for VBS at Holy Trinity.
