Flag flies again

When Diehl Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Salem took over the dealership at 400 Legacy Lane on June 22, General Manager Ian Weiser said the large American flag that had not been flown since last year, would be raised again. Measuring 60- by 30-feet, and reputed to be the largest outdoor flag in Ohio, it was raised on Monday after the dealership performed in-house repairs and replaced the metal line that broke, preventing it from being flown for months. Weiser said they are working on a formal presentation of colors to officially unfurl it at a later date. Weiser said Diehl Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Salem “bought the best flags” it could find and noted they have a 60 to 90 day lifespan.(Salem News photo by Larry Shields)
