County firefighters and energy workers were kept busy around the county during the early morning hours Friday as high winds combined with saturated soil brought down trees that temporarily blocked roads and caused minor power outages. The winds gusted while bringing in the cold front and an old large tree collapsed taking down wires and snapping off a utility pole plunging homes along East High Street in Lisbon into darkness. Luckily damage to the homes at 215 and 217 E. High was minimal, taking down some gutters and window trim as the tree fell in the driveway area between the two homes.
