East Liverpool woman facing considerable prison time on numerous drug charges

LISBON — An East Liverpool area woman is facing more than two decades of possible prison time for drugs she was found to have in 2017 and 2016.

Mackenzie A. Strub, 22, Irish Ridge Road, pleaded guilty in Common Pleas Court this week to five counts of possession of drugs with forfeiture specifications from two cases filed in 2017.

If maximum consecutive sentences were given, Strub is facing up to 27 years in prison and a $57,500 fine. Two of the possession charges are first-degree felonies, which have at least a mandatory three-year prison sentence and $10,000 for each count.

On March 28, 2017, Strub was found with 180.93 grams of heroin, 421.77 grams of cocaine and 1,688.46 grams of marijuana when a search warrant was executed at her home. Additionally, Strub was found to be the owner of $56,530 used or intended for use in facilitation in the sale of drugs.

On Jan. 4, 2016, Strub had at least five grams of cocaine but less than 10 grams. Additionally, she had less than the bulk amount of oxycodone, plus $400 believed to have been used or intended for use in a felony drug offense. Sentencing is set for May 2.
