Opening up Morgan’s Drug building

Don Bayus, foreground, works on the inside of the Morgan’s Drug Store building in Lisbon to remove bricks from what used to be a side entrance. Helping him is Brandon Ayers from David Bayus Masonry. Morgan’s new owner Renelee Lewis is in the process of restoring the 104-year-building to its original look, and that includes opening up the the old entrances and windows that were bricked in over the years. The building will house a law office, apothecary, art studio and gallery, and design studio on the first floor, and five New York-style loft apartments on the second and third floors (Salem News photo by Tom Giambroni)
