A re-enactment of an early 1900’s Salem Suffrage parade was held Saturday in downtown Salem in celebration of Ohio voting in favor of the 19th Amendment in 1919. The event was coordinated by the Salem Second Saturday Committee. Participants dressed in period costumes including, shown here, Sara Baer. Following the parade, a short assembly and rally was held at the corner of Broadway and Pershing. Speeches supporting suffrage will be given. More photos at (Salem News photos by J.D. Creer)
