‘Glass Menagerie’ to be held at Salem Union Hall

WDFC Theatrical Productions will present the Tennessee Williams classic “The Glass Menagerie” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Union Hall in Salem, 547 Prospect St. The story follows Amanda Wingfield, played by the Rev. Kari Lankford, a faded tragic remnant of Southern gentility who lives in poverty in a dingy St. Louis apartment with her son Tom (Josh Lankford) and her painfully shy daughter Laura (Marisa Keshock). Driven to his wits end by his mother’s constant nagging, Tom escapes through alcohol abuse and the unrealistic world of the movies. He is eventually encouraged by his mother to bring a gentleman caller home to visit his sister. This visit will ultimately affect Laura’s life and the lives of everyone around her. Admission is $12 and tickets will be available at the door or can be reserved by emailing WDFCtheatricalproductions@mail.com. From left to right, Kari Lankford and Marisa Keshock. (Submitted photo)
