SALEM — The Salem Parks Department is inviting area residents in all age groups to go for a walk at 10 a.m., the second Saturday of each month, beginning today at the band shell at Waterworth Memorial Park.

The free program to promote community wellness and physical activity, dubbed Salem Community Health Walks, will begin with a short talk on a health-related topic by local family physician Dr. Joseph Rousher. Then he’ll join everybody for the one-hour walk and be available to answer any general health and wellness questions. Participants can walk at their own pace.
