Reilly first-grader chosen to model for American Girl
Salem Buckeye Elementary first-grader Madison “Maddy” Mashuda will take to the stage this Sunday.
Maddy, 6, was asked to model in the popular American Girl Fashion Show. She tried out for the show on Jan. 9 and is among local girls, ages 5-11, who will participate in of the upcoming shows.
Maddy will model at 3 p.m. Sunday at Antone’s Banquet Center in Boardman. Similar fashion shows wills be held at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday and at 11 a.m. on Sunday. The fashion shows benefit the Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley’s local programs and services.
“Maddy is so excited for this opportunity and looks forward to having lots of fun,” said her mother, Tara. She said that Maddy participates in basketball, fast-pitch softball, soccer and cheerleading. She lives to read, swim and hang out with her friends.
