Copeland Oaks invites class car cruisers to campus for old fashion summer picnic
SEBRING – The Model T Ford, the ’57 Chevy, the ’66 Mustang – classic cars are a part of our American heritage.
Copeland Oaks Retirement Community will celebrate the American romance with horsepower and design with a Classic Car Show on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Dash plaques will be given to the first 75 cars entered. The $5 per car registration fee will be donated to the Salem Food Pantry.
Each car registered will be eligible for trophies awarded to the best of show, people’s choice, best stock auto and oldest auto. Owners will be entered in the door prize drawings.
Admission is free for visitors. Guests are invited to bring the family to stroll around the 5-acre lake on the Copeland Campus to view the car show, enjoy musical entertainment, and reminisce about the classic automobiles that have made memories.
The Copeland Oaks Dietary Department will serve free hot dogs, snacks and ice cream treats from the food tent.
The Copland Oaks Classic Car Cruise is organized in cooperation with Gene Johnson and the Salem Arby’s Cruisers and the Copeland Oaks Community Information Department.
Copeland Oaks Retirement Community is located at 800 S. 15th St., just north of U.S. Rt. 62 in Sebring.
