Morrissey accepts position at the University of Arkansas
FAYETTEVILLE – Sean P. Morrissey has accepted the position of tenure-track assistant professor of art at the University of Arkansas starting August 2014.
Morrissey graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a master’s of fine arts in 2011 and Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s of fine arts in 2008. Prior to accepting this position, he served as a visiting lecturer at Syracuse University.
Morrissey exhibits his artwork nationally and internationally at venues such as The International Print Center: New York, Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, Boston University, Dedalo Center for Contemporary Art (Italy), and others.
His artwork is included in various public and private collections including The New York Public Library, Kansas City Art Institute, Sheldon Museum of Art, and the Weisman Art Museum.
A native of Salem and a 2004 graduate of Salem High School, Morrissey is the son of Patrick and Nancy Morrissey.
