Saxon Club sausage orders ready for pick up
SALEM — People who pre-ordered sausage from the Salem Saxon Club are reminded to pick up their orders from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the club, 1980 Newgarden Road. Sausage sandwiches, doughnuts, coffee and tea will be available to the public to purchase.
Salem Area Democrats to meet Wednesday
SALEM — Salem Area Democrats plan to meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Salem Memorial Building, 785 E. State St. On the agenda will be discussion of the proposed city charter and the city election of 2017. The meeting is open to all Democrats. For information call Patty Colian at 330-831-2169.
Swiss steak dinner set Nov. 12 at Concord Church
SALEM — An all-you-can-eat swiss steak dinner will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 12 at the church. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for ages 12 and under.
Hannah E. Mullins School Alumni Association to meet
SALEM — The Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing Alumni Association will meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Kent State University City Center, third floor. A light dinner will be served.
Robert Bycroft School sponsors Adopt-a-Class
LISBON — Robert Bycroft School is again sponsoring its Adopt-a-Class project for Christmas. This project involves donating $8 per student, eight students per class. The money will be used by staff members to purchase a gift for each child. Santa will deliver these gifts to the children at the school’s Christmas party.

Blitzkreig topic at World War II discussion group
LEETONIA–The Leetonia Community Public Library’s World War II group will discuss “The Art of the German Blitzkrieg, 1939-1941” at 6 p.m. Monday. Paul Rohrbaugh, local historian and game designer, will talk about his series of board games on this topic as well.
United Superintendent’s Advisory Council to meet
HANOVERTON–The United Local Superintendent’s Advisory Council will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the high school library.
Meetings to show benefits of UnitedHealthcare plan
SALEM — The Crabb Insurance Agency at 295 E. State St., Salem, and 367 N. Market St., East Palestine, is hosting free community meetings to learn how to get more benefits than you’re currently getting from original Medicare and Medicaid with a UnitedHealthcare Dual Complete (HMO-POS SNP) plan.
Meetings begin at 10 a.m. Nov. 15 and 19 at Faith Chapel Fellowship, 511 E. Pershing St.; Nov. 29 and Dec. 1 at East Palestine Church of Christ; Nov. 29 and Dec. 13 at Lake Mount Church of Christ in New Waterford; and Nov. 30 and Dec. 6 at East Liverpool City Hospital.
