Soup by the quart offered in Washingtonville

WASHINGTONVILLE — Soup will be sold from the kitchen window from 3 to 5 p.m. or until gone on Nov. 2 at Robbins United Methodist Church, 100 High St. If customers are unable to make the stairs, the soup will be brought to them. Cost is $6 per quart. Six varieties are available.

St. Paul Loyal Christian Benefit Association to meet

SALEM — The Loyal Christian Benefit Association plans to meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 3 in St. Paul School gym featuring a special program and demonstration. All members, guests and interested parties are welcome to attend. Enter via the kitchen door near the rear of the school.

Super Bingo Sunday set at St. Jude Nov. 6

COLUMBIANA — Super Bingo Sunday begins at 2 p.m. Nov. 6 at St. Jude Parish, 180 Seventh St. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. for lunch and early seating. A $25 donation entitles players to free coffee and pop and cards for all regular games (special are sold separately). Food and baked goods will be available for purchase.

“Touch-a-Truck” trick or treat event planned

LEETONIA– The Leetonia Community Public Library will host its annual “Touch-a-Truck” trick or treat event from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will a piece of farm equipment, an ambulance, fire truck, police car, school bus, disposal truck, 18 wheeler tractor-trailer and more. Visitors are encouraged to wear a costume. Donuts and cider will be available inside the library.

‘Then and Now’ exhibit to conclude Sunday

SALEM — The Salem Historical Museum’s featured exhibit, “Then and Now” of Salem’s downtown will conclude during visitation hours of 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at 208 S. Broadway Ave. The last tour begins at 3:30 p.m. David Schwartz and Mary Lou Popa will be present from 2 to 3:30 p.m. to greet those especially interested in the former Schwartz’s Department Store and Kolby’s. Schwartz’s family operated Schwartz’s Department Store on South Broadway Avenue and Popa worked at Kolby’s and Schwartz’s’ for a number of years.
