Kindergarteners at Damascus Elementary “showing” their age
All the kindergarten classes at Damascus celebrated its 100th day of school by dressing up like they were 100 and learning lessons around the number. Students rotated classrooms and worked on a different activity in each, including making a 100th day snack, crowns that said “100 days smarter,” counting by 100, making gum ball machines with 100 gum balls, and practicing skip counting by stacking cups by fives and tens to 100. “All our kindergartners had fun learning by 100 and getting to dress up for school,” said Principal Caitlin Reash.
