Mahoning Valley history topic at Leetonia Library’s Spring Tea

Richard Scarsella, pictured, will be the featured speaker at a Spring Tea at 1:30 p.m. March 18 at the Leetonia Community Public Library. Author of the “Memories and Melancholy: Reflections of the Mahoning Valley and Youngstown,” Scarsella is currently the chairman of the William Holmes McGuffey Historical Society. He has been active in community and non-profit work for many years, founding several Idora Park historical societies, serving on the Youngstown Steel Heritage Museum Board, and Ethnic Heritage Society Board, among many other organizations. There is no cost for the tea, but registration is required by calling the library at 330-427-6635. There will be a drawing for a door prize and ladies are encouraged to wear a spring hat.
