Columbiana library to host free movie

COLUMBIANA– Columbiana Public Library will be showing a free movie from 3:30 to 5:45 p.m. Tuesday. Something mysterious is leaving a path of destruction in the streets of 1926 New York, threatening to expose the wizarding community. A young man arrives to research and rescue the magical creatures. When inadvertently some of the beasts are set free, a band of unlikely heroes must recover the missing beasts before they come to harm, but their mission puts them on a collision course with Dark forces. Reach for STARS

to hold Spa Day

SALEM–Reach for the STARS , 440 E. State St., is sponsoring a Ladies Spa Day event from 2 to 5 p.m. April 2 to benefit student programming. Cost is $10 by April 1 or $15 at door. The event includes personal services such as manicures, chair massages, chair yoga sessions and facial/hand treatments. Local beauty and wellness representatives will also offer samples of their skin care, make-up, diet and wellness products. Light snacks will be provided, as well as door prizes and a basket raffle. Fashions by LuLaRoe will also be available.

Companies represented include Mary Kay, Lifevantage, Young Living Oils, Pink Zebra, It Works!, Avon, Nerium International, Sorvana, Arbonne, Tina’s Massage Therapy, Moonstone Massotherapy, La Bella Vita Salon, Magnolia’s on the Green, Sara Terlecky Yoga, LuLaRoe, Geek to Sleek Makeovers, and Columbiana County Career and Tech Center Cosmetology Program.

SPL association plans book sale

SALEM–The Salem Public Library’s Memorial Fund Association will sponsor a used book sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 20 in the St. Paul School gymnasium located at 925 E. State St.

The sale will feature books of all kinds for all ages, as well as magazines, DVDs, VHS videos, music CDs and books on CD.

Plenty of parking will be available as well as help, if needed, to carry purchases to a vehicle.
