Southern FFA students raise money for hospital

Members of the Southern Local High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) raised more than $332 to benefit Akron Children’s Hospital by conducting a Kiss-A-Critter contest and Hat Day during FFA Week on Feb. 27 through March 3. The Kiss-A-Critter campaign cost a penny a vote while students paid $1 to don toppers for a day or $3 for the week. Pictured are FFA member Jacob Joiner puckering up to a porcine which is being held by FFA Secretary Emily McDonald. (Submitted photo)
