United Local will crown 2017 Homecoming King and Queen Friday

HANOVERTON — United High School Student Council is inviting the public to the United Local vs. Wellsville football game on Friday for the United Homecoming Court and Crowning of the 2017 King and Queen.

The festivities begin at 6:40 p.m. before the game. Jaycie Watt, the 2016 Queen, will crown the 2017 queen. 2016 King Colton Graham will crown the 2017 king. Jaycie is the daughter of David and Jennifer Watt. She is attending Youngstown State University (YSU). Colton is the son of Nathaniel and Cassandra Graham. He is attending YSU.

The student council is sponsoring the dance from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the high school. The theme is “Grecian Gardens.” Officers in charge are President Destini Thompson, Co-Vice Presidents Brian Lippiatt and Grace Maroscher, Co-Treasurers Matthew Courtney and Cheyenne Taylor and Secretary Megan Brewer. Student Council Advisor is Betty Whiteleather.

Football Homecoming Court

Senior queen candidates are Jenna Martin, Cassie Yarwood, Tori Hahlen and Hannah Mix. Senior king candidates are Jared DelVichio, Tyler Humphrey, Cade Wood and Kiel Jones. Junior attendants are Joni Farmer and Hunter Ferry. Sophomore attendants are Celeste Hofmeister and Bodey Kiko. Freshmen attendants are Kendyl Daggy and Keaton Baker and Hannah Minor and Kaleb Skiba.

Freshmen attendants

— Kendyl Daggy is the daughter of Jeff and Tammy Daggy. Her activities include soccer, basketball, softball, Key Club and 4-H. Keaton Baker is the son of Randy and Ruth Baker. His activities include football, basketball, track and he has earned his second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Doe.

— Hannah Minor is the daughter of Heather Smith and Jeremy Minor. Her activities include soccer, class officer, choir and track. Kaleb Skiba is the son of Tracy Skiba and Rocky Skiba. His activities include football and track.

Sophomore attendants

— Celeste Hofmeister is the daughter of Don and Tiffany Hofmeister. Her activities include soccer, basketball, Amateur Athletic Union Basketball and Key Club. Bodey Kiko is the son of Nicole and Rich Kiko. His activities include football, basketball, baseball and 4-H.

Junior attendants

— Joni Farmer is the daughter of Sam Farmer and Bobi Gordon. Her activities include basketball, 4-H, American Sign Language and Art Club. Hunter Ferry is the son of Joanne Ferry. His activities include U&Me Mentor and student council.

Senior candidates

— Jenna Martin is the daughter of Bryan and Tina Martin. Her activities include Key Club, Art Club, softball and student council. Jared DelVichio is the son of Chuck and Susan DelVichio. His activities include Principal’s Advisory Council, U&Me Mentor and baseball.

— Cassie Yarwood is the daughter of Scott Yarwood. Her activities include softball and Ruriteens. Tyler Humphrey is the son of Mark and Sally Humphrey. His activities include varsity football, varsity baseball, Ruriteen and U&Me Mentor.

— Tori Hahlen is the daughter of Adam and Kelly Hahlen. Her activities include soccer, softball, senior class president, and Art Club. Cade Wood is the son of Chad and Sara Wood. His activities include varsity football captain, varsity baseball captain and U&Me Mentor.

— Hannah Mix is the daughter of Steve and Kim Mix. Her activities include volleyball, basketball, softball and Ski Club. Kiel Jones is the son of Jackie Jones and Kristen Jones. His activities include football, cross country, track and vice president of Ruriteens.
