Fish fry offered in Leetonia

LEETONIA — The public is invited to a fish fry from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Leetonia Italian American Club, 202 Main St. Carryouts are available by calling 330-427-9900.

Open house at Canine Campus

HUBBARD — The Canine Campus Training and Wellness Center is hosting its second annual open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at 757 N. Main St. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to The Together Journey, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that helps individuals with disabilities defer the costs associated with training a service dog.

The event will include over 20 vendors, a Chinese auction, dog costume contest and prizes. This event will also mark the grand opening of the Barktastic Bakery located inside the canine campus.

CPR/Defibrillator class offered

LISBON — A“Health Care Provider Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator” class will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Columbiana County Health Department, 7360 state Route 45. Cost is $50 which includes a two-year certification card. The class is taught by Cecelia Hrovatic, RN, an American Heart Association instructor. To register call 330-424-0272 Ext. 114.

Superheroes to visit Carnation Mall

ALLIANCE — Batman and his superhero crew will visit during the community trick or treat from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 23 at Carnation City Mall. The line will begin at the food court entrance. Photos will be available in the center court starting at 5 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Salvation Army. For more information call 330-821-4447.

Lepper Library plans events

LISBON — Various events are planned at Lepper Library. The Mystery Book Club meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 26.

A 1941 action film begins at 2 p.m. Oct. 30. For the title and more information call 330-424-3117. Adult coloring will continue from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 30.

Allergy-free trunk-or-treat set

ALLIANCE — Mile Branch Grange is sponsoring its first allergy-free trunk-or-treat from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 28 at 495 Knox School Road, Alliance. Mile Branch Grange members are hosting this event to provide a safe environment for children with food allergies or other health issues who often miss traditional trick or treat to protect the child from possible reactions.

The event is open to all children up to age 14. Children must bring their own container for treats. Treats will include small toys, coloring books, pencils, etc. There will be no food at this event.

Donations are being accepted from local businesses and community members to help fund this event. For more information leave a message at 330-821-8023 or on the grange’s Facebook page.

Shopping bus trip headed for Columbus

COLUMBIANA — The Heartland Christian School Parent-Teacher Fellowship is inviting the community to take a bus trip to Easton Town Center in Columbus on Nov. 11. The bus will also make a stop at the new Sunbury Outlets on the return trip home. The bus will leave the Heartland entrance on Pittsburgh Street at 7:30 a.m. and return by 9:30 p.m. that evening. Kielbasi and sauerkraut dinner offered

NORTH LIMA — Good Hope Lutheran Church will serve its annual kielbasi and sauerkraut dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 11 at the church, 12030 Market St. The meal includes mashed potatoes, applesauce, bread, homemade pie and beverage. Cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children ages 7 to 12. Carryouts are available. For more information call the church office at 330-549-2406.
