West Branch MS students holding holiday food drive

West Branch Middle School Student Council members Peyton Bell, left, and Kennedy Close invite fellow students, teachers, staff and community members to donate to the annual food drive to help families in need during the holiday season. Donations can be dropped off with your child or at the middle school from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. The following items are encouraged on the themed dates: today: First Aid Friday (toothbrushes, toothpaste, bandages); Nov. 13: Macaroni Monday (macaroni and cheese, pasta, Spaghetti O’s); Nov. 14: Tag Team Tuesday (spaghetti and sauce, taco meal kits); Nov. 15: Breakfast Food Wednesday (granola bars, hot cereal); Nov. 16: Thanksgiving Thursday (mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce); and Nov. 17: Free for all Friday (any and all non-perishable food items are welcome; no glass jars).
