Banquet in Salem features pizza, soup, salad

SALEM — The Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building, 785 E. State St. The meal, sponsored by Salem Pizza Hut, includes pizza, soup, salad, fresh vegetables and fruit and cookies.

New music program

SALEM — A special new program, featuring a presentation of music from Tapestries of Ohio, begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, 436 E. Second St. The public is invited.

Genealogy topic at Salem Library Jan. 22

SALEM — Salem Public Library’s first genealogy related presentation of the New Year is slated from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 22 in the Quaker Room. The topic will be “Using the Family Tree Maker” presented by Marge Greenisen of Salem. She has used Family Tree Maker for more than five years. Her family tree contains over 5,000 people and close to 5,000 photos and documents. Greenisen is a volunteer at the library where she assists ancestor seekers with one-on- one help on Wednesdays.
