Drive-thru dinner set in Winona

WINONA — “Cook’s Night Off” drive-thru dinner, hosted by the Winona United Methodist Church, will be served from 4 to 6 p.m., or until sold out, June 6. The menu offers Million Dollar Pasta, salad, Italian bread and a frosted brownie. Cost is $8 each. Call ahead and pre-order by calling the church office at 330-222-1211 before noon that day. Pre-ordered dinners must be picked up by 6 p.m. The church is located at 32114 Winona Road, Winona. This will be the last dinner until September.

Mrs. Fred Weingart hosts 7&1 Club

SALEM — The Seven and One Club met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Fred Weingart. Her guests were her sister, Mrs. Marty Catlos, and Mrs. Larry Dearth. The hostess served a luncheon complete with a berry pie for dessert.

Cards were played after the luncheon and prizes won by Mrs. Dearth, first place; Mrs. Jack Bruderly, second; Mrs. Gerald Mincks, low; and Mrs. Herb Bott, travel. The next club night begins at 7 p.m. at the Mincks’ home.

Fashion show to benefit Canton arts

CANTON — A special style show fundraiser will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 9 in the Fresco Room at La Pizzaria Restaurant on Dressler Road in Canton. Sponsored by Canton Fine Arts Associates, the style show will feature fashions by Chico’s of Belden Village, a silent auction, a 50/50 drawing, special gift door prize, live music, cash bar and a lunch with a choice of three entrees. Two giant screens will showcase the models and ensure convenient viewing. The style show also will feature a keynote speech by popular guest speaker Janet Weir Creighton titled “Style for Success.”

Cost of the style show and luncheon is $25 per person. Reservations are required. This event is open to the public. The reservation deadline is June 1. All proceeds benefit the many worthwhile projects of Canton Fine Arts Associates.

For reservations, mail your check (endorsed to Canton Fine Arts Associates) to Sue Wise, c/o Canton Museum of Art, 1001 Market Avenue N., Canton, Ohio 44702. Indicate your choice of entree: parmesan crusted chicken breast, stuffed shells with spinach alfredo or chef’s salad with chicken, steak or shrimp. St. Jude Craft Show seeking vendors

COLUMBIANA — Vendors are needed for the St. Jude Craft Show. Application forms are available by contacting Mary L. Burkey, parish secretary, at 330-482-2351. The craft show will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 18 at the church, 180 Seventh St.
