Historical society museum offering Father’s Day discount

In honor of Father’s Day, the Salem Historical Society Museum at 208 S. Broadway Ave. is offering free admission of fathers on June 17 when accompanied by a family member. The museum, in air conditioned comfort, is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday (the last tour begins at 3:30 p.m.). This year’s featured exhibit is of the rich “Romanian Heritage” of many of our local residents. The Gift/Book Shop, located at 239 S. Lundy Ave. will also be open for Salem souvenirs. Contact the museum for further information, 330-337-8514. Pictured are John and Savannah accompanied their father, Ben Cooper, on a recent visit to the museum. They had a special interest in the Ponderosa Park exhibit, especially viewing the signatures of Johnny and June Cash. (Submitted photo)
