Crestview High School cheerleaders from Columbiana were recently recognized as recipients of the Premiere Cheer Camps Award of Excellence at their summer cheer camp hosted by the national private cheer camp company, Premiere Cheer Camps.

The team was selected by Premiere Cheer Camps staff based on their outstanding sportsmanship, spirit and growth in the areas of cheer throughout camp. Premiere Cheer Camps is a National Cheer Camp Company, serving thousands of coaches and athletes each year. This squad demonstrated remarkable attributes which qualified them for this unique honor.

Crestview cheerleaders will be featured on the Premiere Cheer Camps national website in recognition of this achievement. Each squad member received an individual ribbon as well as the Premiere Cheer Camp Award of Excellence Team Certificate.

“The Premiere Cheer Camps Award of Excellence is such an exciting award to present! Our staff looks forward to choosing and recognizing talented cheerleaders all over the United States. I am pleased to hear that Premiere is helping to shape athletes and develop their existing potential.” said Aaron Scott, president of Premiere Cheer Camps.

In addition to this team honor, three specialty awards were distributed to the following cheerleaders for their outstanding demonstration of skill and leadership. The award recipients are as follows:

Best Jumper Award presented to Adeline Whaley, Most Spirited Award presented to Carly Mustake and the Best All-Around Award presented to Reagan Heater and Kendall Hancox.

Finally, Premiere Cheer Camps’ Coveted All-American Award is presented to team members who demonstrate showmanship and skill progression that meets the Premiere All-American Standard. Recipients of the Premiere Cheer Camps All-American Award receive an honorary patch and an invitation to participate in the Capital One All-American Half-Time Show at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla.

Crestview has the unique distinction of earning the All-American Award for every member of their squad who attended camp. The Crestview High School cheerleaders are coached by Amie Cope.

Cope said she is extremely proud of the hard work and dedication the girls put forth at camp, which ultimately showed in their success.
