Carrollton church groups take Underground Railroad tour

Two Carrollton church groups, the Golden Agers from Carrollton Baptist Temple and OAKA from Carrollton Bible Church, recently enjoyed the Salem Historical Society’s Underground Railroad tour on the Quakertown Trolley. In attendance were Dick Smith, Carol Smith, Stan Anderson, JoAnn Anderson, Janet Brooks, Maggie Brogan, Lola Fogle, Mona Maple, Charles Brocan, Roger Higginbotham, Kay Mills, Carol Payne, Judy Higginbotham, Don Caldwell, Vickie Caldwell, Barb Miller, Coretta Radabaueh, Lillian Dawson, Myron Dawson, Steve Hosey and Richard Cunningham. The next tour is Aug. 25. Cost is $15 per person and a minimum of 15 are necessary to conduct the tour. If seats are still available on, walk ups are welcome at the Dale Shaffer Library, 239 S.
