Heartland Girls Staters share experiences
Pictured are three of the seven girls, from left, Hannah Rossi, Allison Barbee and Hannah Brandenstein from Heartland Christian School, who attended Buckeye Girls State in June at the University of Mount Union in Alliance. American Legion Post 290 Ladies Auxiliary sponsored the students to the annual event attended by approximately 900 girls from across the state. The committee for selection consisted of members Diane Hardenbrook, Vic Waggle and Maria Fazal. The girls attended the auxiliary’s August meeting and relayed to members their experiences and shared their appreciation for being able to attend the event. (Submitted photo)
