Angels for Animals toured

U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson recently visited the Angels for Animals facility at 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield. During his visit in the main building, the Lariccia Animal Center, Johnson looked at plans for and the construction progress on the facility’s $10 million veterinary expansion. The plans are to build a new medical wing to offer more services to the public and ramp up the spay/neuter program. Currently, the facility spays or neuters approximately 11,000 animals per year and is targeting a goal of 25,000 per year and to offer the public a place to obtain affordable full service vet care. Target completion date on the construction is July 2019. Eastern Gateway Community College is now partnering with Angels on a new veterinary technician program.
